my email:

Eric,

We received an email about the vice dolls from you at the end of May. It appears we left out the word service from customer service but hey all is not lost we found your email again.

We’re about 6 weeks a way from receiving the first shipments. As soon as they arrive I’ll send you an email with information on where they’re available locally or on the web. If you’re one of those people that just can’t wait (that ADD thing) you can send us a US Money Order for $15.oo plus $5 for shipping and we’ll send you one of the first to arrive. All 4 will set you back $60 plus S &H.

Al, if that (jerkoff) dude CAN actually get you the job, i would say go for it even if you do like your current job. it's all about getting your foot in the door right? put up with at maximum two years of BS and then go look for something more satisfying. at least at that point you'll know you're ahead of the other freshly graduated mechies.

taylor: did you compile a list of all the stuff your archived? i'm thinking of trying to get a bunch of people to organize their libraries and have like a central archive... i dunno. (terrabyte server anyone?)

that is all.

A bit late, but good effort on landing that job, Al.

On a much less positive note, Firefox is really pissing me off right now. After seizing up and crashing the computer yesterday, I've started it up today to find that every single bookmark I had has disappeared. All of them. Gone. Now, earlier I was getting some sort of issue regarding user profiles, so could it be that they still exist, only on another profile that I can't access right now? Anyone?

haha sweet! I was mostly joking par, but I'll be good. Fear of plonking... you know.

Al, follow it through anyway - if you get a good job out of it great! if not then you've lost nothing. If it's a crappy job but you get it anyway you can always turn it down. No harm in trying.
As much as you may like your new job it's not worth the time, effort, and money you've put into getting an education. Honestly $9/hr is not great, it seems like it because you have minimal expenses, but you can do much better. If you have any desire to get out on your own you're gonna need more than that. Trust me. I know it's also not all about the money, but what's the point of getting any kind of education just to do grunt work that you could have gotten 8 years ago if you dropped out of high school?
Think about it... you're an engineer - go forth and... uh... engineer.

Well after thinking about it last night I think that guy is offering more then he can deliver on. I think he can put a word in for me but can't actually get me a job. Just your typical adult bull, when they try to sound important in front of other people. Unlike my dad who doesn't bull and lives up to his word. Guess thats why I'm the way I am. So no non-Daytona for a while, we'll see I guess.

And Euro-trip group why the hell are you still lurking on this board? Aren't you suppose to be duck walking around town or something? (Sorry about that nazi reference) If you have some free time do you think you can find my internet buddy? He lives in Germany, I think Berlin and goes by the internet name dfacto. He says he is your typical German urbanite, whatever that means. I mentioned what Par looks like so he'll be looking as well. Hope this add some fun to your life.

You abuse it, Beck, I kill you. (Not literally of course. Just, you know, a reasonable sounding plonk on the head.)

Congrats, Al. That's great news. Can't wait to get a ride in the new not-Daytona.

Holy shit it's cold in Edmonton. I don't think we've had daytime highs here less than 28. Paras is sweaty.

Can't think of anything else. Too hot. Oh yeah, I guess I really like Magritte. Who knew?

EDMONTON LOSES YET ANOTHER VENUE

I was thinking of going to the (Method:Records) Divided Left show tonight, but then I heard that a bunch of dumb fuckin kids wrecked the venue from the last show and some fuck called the cops.

On top of that, people keep referring to the venue as ECOCITY when it is clearly not. In fact, it's actually:

1. the Homewrekers jamspace.
2. A home (ie: one of the girls lives there)

The ACTUAL ecocity peeps have been giving shit to the people at the Homewreker space because dumbfucks keep using that name on posters. To further complicate matters, any undue attention by the authorities will result in massive fines. So to detract from this attention, the venue operators decided to host only by-invitation, no-minors shows. Unfortunately, Method:Records advertised this one as all-ages... and even though the show was pronounced cancelled, all the kids came out anyway. So I guess the show sorta happened even though it wasn't supposed to.

The end result of all this?

Well, the homewrekers are likely out of a jam space, one certain individual is likely out of a house (which really makes me sad, because she's super rad), and the entire fucking city of edmonton is out of one of my favourite venues.

phewf... it took all fucking night, but I FINALLY finished archiving 10 gigs worth of mp3s, which coincidentally took up more than half my total HDD. Needless to say, running a computer with 498 MB free space on the hard drive WHILE downloading more music should probably be avoided.

Tonights' burn session brings me to a total of 31 CDs of mp3ed music.

None of which have cases, haha. Tomorrow I MIGHT get around to making CD sleeves with album listings on them, but considering how long it took me just to burn this shit... damn, not likely.

What a fucking chore.

Not that any of you care; I understand and appreciate this fact. But I'm tired and it's late, and fuck it.

man, I've always been a fan of z-trip, but I finally got a chance to listen to those live-set mixtapes that were posted a little while ago and it's just like... damn, this is good shit. I don't even have words for it. Hopefully one of these tapes will have his sweet-emotion mix; I heard a live performance of it once on CBC back in jr. high and I was like "fuck me... who is this z-trip dude!??"
