I got two new things today:
1. A skateboard owie.
2. A Babekub "Hard Core Punk":
It's made by the same company that does bearbrick.

Gotta keep up, people. Rokanova is now Bytenova, thus informing us that 'Roka' is the ancient leetish word for 'Byte'.
Also, leaving us in their dust, Something Awful reviews Boa vs. Python.

HEY, KIDS!
Take your dicks out of the playstation three
for one goddamn minute,
and read some fucking comics.

James Kochalka does it again.
Also, I haven't been impressed with a comic from marvel for something like 7 or 8 years. Seeing that they have some new character who looks totally fucking lame and who is apparently "the son of Carnage" I didn't think my perception of the company would change anytime soon. I was wrong however... I found this.

Just heard this from the CJSR listserv: Apparently, the Sidetrack lives on, and won't be making way for condo developments as we'd been previously led to believe.

That's good to hear, Jess.
On an amazingly unrelated note, who's working in the Faculty of Arts at the U of A?
Sure, Jere, you could get a vespa. Or, you could be really hardcore, and get one of these babies.

I took Belle to the vet yesterday because her back legs are becoming more and more unreliable and it turns out she has neither arthritis nor hip dysplasia (well, a tiny little bit in one hip, but surprisingly little). She has some inflamation around her spinal column which her body is reacting to by building extra bone which is pinching off the nerves going to her back legs. So it's good news because it doesn't hurt her, and there are some drugs which can help bring the inflamation down to minimize further damage. And as long as nothing more goes wrong with her she could live another six months to two years, depending on how well she reacts to the anti-inflamitories. So I guess that's good news.

Damn I missed the lava lamp!
P, as far as Linux goes I'm very happy with it's RAM usage and responsiveness. Best thing is that it doesn't lose responsiveness over time like windows. For instance my computer has now been on for... 7 days, 23 hours, and one minute (according to the "uptime" command) and it's working just fine.
Best things about Linux: RAM usage, mplayer, reboot-less installs, command line, free.
Worst things about Linux: having to learn to do the same stuff all over again but differently, inefficent (or just annoying) hardware usage (ie. sound card can only be used by one program at a time...).
I don't think hardware is really an issue.
