I have 64MB in a Celeron II 333 and Im running Fedora 2. It runs really well, but when I had it running a graphical interface it was chunking along... but thats ok since I only need command line as I run it as a server. I would imagine the real Linux users have much, much better computers and that Linux runs very smoothly for them.

Paras, I know this isn't E-Bay, hence no prices. I dunno... maybe I'll go visit E-Bay, but I don't trust this compy... besides, unless I missed a big description of what this message board is supposed to be 'about' I thought I could post things like this... anyway, they're free.
Anyway, Albert, the lava lamp is free... and since you asked first, it's all yours. Are you going to be at Chilis tomorrow? I can bring it by tomorrow night if you'd like.

Perhaps the question that is closer to the purpose of my query is how do you like the responsiveness of Linux with the ram your computer has.

Most Blunted? :P
Par, Beck, and anyone else using Linux. How much ram does your Linux computer have?

eric, I got a $10, 17" monitor. Other than odds and ends, though, not a lot.
Alison, this isn't eBay.
Percy, my guess is that one has 168 pins, and the other has 144 pins. One would assume that a 168-pin RAM card will not fit into a 144-pin RAM slot.

i think Just Blaze, aka America's Most Blunted, aka Percy P would be interested in that lava lamp.

Er, does anyone know how to tell the difference between PC100 168-pin and 144-pin sdram?

so... I'm cleaning my room (ugh) and I have this rather large stack of Chart magazines from mid 1997 to mid 2001. If anyone is interested in them... lots and lots of Can Rock info... please just drop me a line (or say something on here). I'd be happy to pass them along... it somehow seems like a waste to dump them all.
oh, and one more thing to pass on: Anyone looking for a lava lamp? I have a black lamp with hot pink wax, and it's all yours if you're interested.
