-Ed: Congratulations Ed! Don't spend your first paycheck all in one place.
-Tay: I could be down for waiting in line on Tuesday, we'll have to see.

In other pressing news, I think I mistook the identity of that girl! At the breakfast her hair was in a wave and was slightly permed, if it was her. When convocation started she had limp hair and it was shorter and thinner then it was in the morning. Another thing was I realized engineering is a faculty where 70 percent of the girls are asian and have similar height, facial structure and hairstyle. So I don't know what to think now. The girls on this board, I pose a question: Is it possible to get hair really limp in a matter of hours? I mean can you really change your hairstyle just like that? And for you guys so you don't feel left out, can you find out if that guy who was following her was gay or not. Seeing how my luck is he probally is... Damn! I though everything was going to be resolved.

In job hunting news, one of my buddies told me some companies can take up to 4 months to decide if they need to hire anyone or not. He finally got hired but he applied for the job in january. They finally decided it was in thier budget to hire another EIT.

Does anyone want to do anything tonight? Some of us are newly graduated, and I think we want to get hammered!

So who else is gonna be waiting in line at 10:30am with me to get into that surplus sale? I could use the following:

-MAYBE a decent new computer if the specs are good and the price cheap
-A nice office chair with hydrualic height adjustment
-possibly an LCD projector... but I'd much rather have:
-an overhead projector and a cheap LCD-screen monitor... or:
-a laptop would do... I'm sure I could use a laptop screen as well.

I NEEEEEEDSSSS....

Surplus Sale!

I have it on good authority (an official-looking document on a colleague's desk) that the U of A Surplus Sale is next Tuesday, June 14, at from 12:30PM to 3:30PM at Materials Management Building. I'm assuming this is the same place as last time (which is the building just south of the Jubilee). They say they have P3s, 17" Monitors, fax machines, LCD projectors, desks, chairs, filing cabinets.

What's just as funny is the fact that it seems the host of the show, Matt Lauer agrees with you Par. For a guy who is hosting the show, he sure cut into it a lot on the Daily Show.

Along the same vein, The 19 Most Objectionable of the 100 Greatest Americans, in alphabetical order:

-Barbara Bush
-Laura Bush
-Hillary Clinton
-Tom Cruise
-John Edwards
-Brett Favre
-Mel Gibson
-Tom Hanks
-Michael Jackson
-Steve Jobs
-Michael Jordan
-Robert F. Kennedy
-Rush Limbaugh
-Madonna
-(Dr.) Phil McGraw
-Condaleeza (Condi) Rice
-Arnold Schwarzenegger
-Martha Stewart
-Pat Tillman

I mean, I can respect some of these people. But what has Arnold done that would make him one of the greatest? Starred in a few blockbuster movies? Had an election handed to him on a silver platter?

It's clearly not the "100 Most Famous Americans", because Tesla, Sagan, and Susan B. Anthony all made it. But can anyone look me in the eye and tell me that there are not at least 100 people in the history of that country (where, apparently, the only qualification is having lived in the US) that have accomplished more for the US or for humanity than the 19 mentioned above?

Granted, there's always controversy in lists like this. I mean, we had Jim Carrey and Mike Myers in our list. But for a country that has shaped the globe culturally, economically, politically, and militarily for almost 60 years, they can't find someone that knocks 'The guy who sang "Thriller"' or 'The guy from Texas who yells at people to get rid of their psychological problems' off the list?
