    Another recent email...

    From: "Professor Hawkins"
    To: ehill
    Subject: RE: My Web Posting

    Dearest Edward,

I have had sincere difficulties refraining from visiting the Wet Teen Bitches site. I have e-mailed them repeatedly, in the hopes that they will cease and dessist in sending me their dispicable, yet titilating, material. Please, Edward, your guideance is required in this matter; how do I stop these messages, and my own fervent, lustful, carnal, impulses, and my frequent ... self-love? Please Ed, please. Your soothing voice alone offered much comfort. I never knew a man, a man like you, could find his way into my life, and change it so thoroughly.

    Sincerely,
    Dr. Professor Hawkins
    xoxo

    Recent email:

    "Dear Students’ Union Member:

As a student who may be off-campus during voting, you are eligible to vote on-line for the 2004 SU General Election. So even if you can’t make it to a campus polling station, you can still vote!"

    Whooo hoo!

I don't even have to leave my desk!

Lomborg is an interesting one. He definately stirred the pot with the ecologists, and bruised their ego's. I think one of the most important things that came out of that is that some ecologists realized that they arent the only scientists out there looking at environmental problems. Although some of his biologcial points seemed a bit cracked up, since he studies statistics, politics and economics he was able to bring up some real valid points that I don't think ecologists would be able to come up with on their own. The whole thing is actually kinda funny now because him and the ecologists with the biggest ego's to nurture are sniping at each other through various articles. The politics and rhetoric of science definately bleeds through.

Patrick Moore seems a bit more credible though. Its actually kinda refreshing to see him try to make a difference rather than just bitch about things. I think there are a lot of bruised ego's there too, especially since Moore's consulting company has been able to bend the ear of both government and industry in ways that the environmental lobby never has been able to. Maybe he did have some sort of mid-life crisis kinda thing or maybe his time as president at Greenpeace left him feeling like he was spinning his wheels. Either way, he does get payed better than his beard & no-bath days with the "tree-huggers" and gets to still gets to make a differnce for something he is passionate about.

Why do you have to play AA when you go to the meetings every week? Why is everyone going to AA? Are you guys really that chemically dependent on alcohol? Yep thats how far we've come when people are to lazy to go to the meetings and have to download them and play them on their computers.

Just don't make the same mistake I did, Leo. Actually get your ransom before you return it.

Also, just a thought, what's wrong with the following statement:

==>The New York Rangers traded Alexei Kovalev (ie. big name, big ticket player) TO the Montreal Canadians for two prospects (ie. the Rangers didn't get a big name, big ticket player back).

Let the firesale begin! Maybe the Oilers will get Messier after all! Woo hoo! (Of course, that will be shortly before they make the playoffs, and don't blow two and three goal leads, and have a healthy lineup and don't sell off players, and don't count the best trait of their best players as "heart" and...)
