wow, it's been a while, then again, I guess Oregon will do that to ya.

anyways, just a quick note, if I can get it up, we made a terry tate video for orientation, it's just as good as the originals, except that you get to see the uofa in it. but it's not on the net right now, but if I can get a copy, I'll post it.

Bender... Now With More Weapons of Mass Destruction

So, we've made a few design changes to Bender. We decided that a wood platform wasn't cool or unique enough. Enter the $50.00 Radio Shack tank. Of course, when you get a display model that is missing a remote (who cares? It's a robot!), you can get it for a tenth of the price. It's not completely working yet, but we're confident that it's a minor electronic problem. (Plus, how cool will it be when, at the end of the demonstration, we fire a bunch of missiles?!)

Speaking of robots, how about something completely unrelated?! I promise this to be the last word on the Super Bowl. It seems that (surprise, surprise), nipple piercings and ornaments, particularly shields are enjoying some great popularity. It seems that the exposure has been good for business (gwahahahahahahaha... ha.)

    Also, :

    Mmmmm.... Guinness

Finally, good luck to Jess on the poems (I'd like to make it, but the robot lab awaits), and congrats to Jere on the Rosslyn Cup (I expect to get my new Subaru by the end of the month). Alber... er... Arthrun, don't quit your day job (see gwahahahahahaha.)

It's Make Fun of Jess Night!

On Tuesday this week my Write 494 (poetry) will be doing a read at 7pm. That's right, a poetry reading. Anyone still listening? Cool. So it's at Martini's Bar and Grill at 9910 109 St. I've been told that all you have to do is get on the LRT, get off at Grandin and you're practically there. I'm guessing we will be done by 9, so it's a measley two hours of your time. Also, I read third so you could be out of there by 7:20. But there are some very talented people in my class so I'd definately recommend staying.

And you're not actually allowed to make fun of me because I'm really nervous.

So come out, it'll be a good time. And it beats studying.
