All right, I'll make up for that with an intellectual link. Apparently there are now Six states of matter, as U.S. scientists have created one new one (what you thought there were three or four?? Foolish ________, you forgot all about plasma and, everyone's favourite state of matter, the Bose-Einstein condensate.
Finally, if that's not geeky enough, there's always the guide that someone wrote cataloguing all the differences between the Lord of the Rings books and movies. Speaking of guides, apparently filming is set to start on The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Douglas Adams had been adapting it for the screen in the years leading up to his death, and now it's set to be made. It stars Martin Freeman as Arthur Dent, Zooey Deschanel as Trillian, and Mos Def as Ford Prefect. With luck, this could be quite interesting (and in a few years, someone will make a guide cataloguing all the differences between the books and the movie(s).)
