More soccer results. First of all, either I cannot read or I underestimate the prodigious-ness of PP. The scores from the round of 32 were 6-0 and 12-0. In any case, resounding victories.

Now then, onto the pitch for the round of 16. Our heroes (the little circles of blue and/or yellow) are caught in a ferocious battle against the self-proclaimed DaWinner. Arrogant, yes, but they have made it this far, meaning they are winners of something. Nevertheless, our heroes never waver. In spite of a valiant effort, however, and stunning attempts on goal, PP find themselves down 2-1 at the end of the first half. A rousing, garbage-can kicking, broken-hand hammering speech by the coach at half-time, however, rallies the troops. With renewed vigour and heart worthy of a cheesy Disney movie about waterfowl, they storm back with two straight goals. Unfortunately, DaWinner believes too much in their namesake to give in now. With several mighty forays into our team's defensive zone, and a couple of questionable tackles, DaWinner ties it up with 2 minutes left. Our team is undaunted, however. Their superior ball control and ability to pass the ball ahead of their teammates proves too much and they snatch victory from the jaws of tie (?) with a 4-3 final.

And then they won the second game 2-0.

Off to the "Great Eight" round now, the competition becomes more fierce. So feared is their next opponent, that 10452 does not even need a name. Will our heroes move on? They remain the lowest ranked team left, but that has not stopped them before. Moreover, they will not have to face the vaunted XX***YYY team, who won their round of 16 matches 21-0 and 27-0 wins of massacr-istical proportions, until the finals at the earliest. OOOO 11:00am. I woke up at like 9:00 and I tried really, really hard to sleep till 12:00, but I couldn't. :(

Go team Paras! I say this next team will be a tough one although the PP did sink 'Da Pimps' and I can't see 'Da Winner' being any different.
