Off to the Hat today, visiting my Grandma for the Easter long.

So, here's a little link to numb the, uh, joy my absence will certainly cause. May I suggest that you go to ABA Games? (Another link I've stolen from Penny Arcade...)- it's good for Gigawing nerds. I've only tried the first two games, Tumiki and Parsec, but they're both pretty fucking grand.

And, hey, when we all get the 'hell out of exam-Dodge', we'll have to celebrate these birthdays right. Y'all deserve a good time - yehaa!

Anyway, have a good one - see you soonish.

Just when you thought neo-liberalism couldn't get any worse...

    Utterly despicable

The only thing worse was that a REAL version of this using real dollars almost existed a year or two ago. (Thank the people at Something Awful for this one. How ironic.)

    What Irrational Number Are You?
    You are √2

You are in good company, many other square roots are also irrational numbers. Just by being a square root you have been branded a radical. You are considered very attractive, especially by Europeans (at least on paper.)

You fear that a relationship with another √2 may somehow end up complex and ultimately imaginary. In reality, only another √2 will make you whole.

Your lucky number is approximately 1.41421356

    yay!

You are ð (okay, it's supposed to be pi, but something went weird)

Of all the irrational numbers, you are the most famous. You have many friends and fans. Like many people, non-Euclidean geometry makes you feel uncomfortable. You are involved in so many things that it seems like it would take two of you to make ends meet.
You are particularly close to the rational number 22/7. However, you and e have been called "remarkable."

Your lucky number is approximately 3.14159265

Eternal Sunshine... sounds good. and I can go for free! (yay christmas presents!)
Well Par, I'll probably call you later to get a ride then.

And face, like I was going to think of a bike as the main focus of the pic.
I didn't even think of that as a reason for you to enjoy the picture
so I thought of the first thing that I could see that would make that pic "interesting"
so there. you who posts the nasty stuff anyway,
it made sense to me that you'd be looking at it for that reason.

On the topic of nostalgia (sort of... bear with me, it kind of works), CBS is developing a TV series called Vinyl Cafe. For those of you who listen to CBC radio, you may know Vinyl Cafe as a radio show hosted by Stuart McLean, where he details some misadventures of Dave and his Toronto family, as well as spinning some of his favourite music. (If you ever turn on CBC radio and hear someone talking about "Dave and Morley," you've heard this show.) Apparently, CBS is interesting in developing the stories of Dave and Morley, and their children Sam and Stephanie, into a television show.

While I found this new show, I also found that Lewis Black (of Daily Show fame) is developing a show where he stars as a "frustrated and angry" high school principal (Lewis Black frustrated and angry? Never)

And, in the area of lame titles, and East Coast Indo-Canadian comics (you know who I'm talking about,) a show called (I can't believe they would stoop to this) Never Mind Nirvana is being developed by NBC. It stars Shaun Majumder (if you missed that first reference) as an Indian-American doctor.
