Well another disappointing day for the lottery pool.
    Of 10 quick picks:
    2 had 2 correct numbers
    5 had 1 correct number
    3 had 0 correct numbers
Which means we win the peice of paper they were printed on.
hmmm... I can't help thinking it would be more effective to put a dollar a week into some high risk penny stock, then it can grow like Bre-X!

If you think the McDonald's-Hot Coffee lawsuit was bad, think again. There are worse lawsuits tying up the legal system. Remember the song "Barbie Girl"? A lawsuit about that has been tying up courst since 1997. It has just been resolved. Check out nine others here:

You know it's really weird when your glasses break and you don't have any contacts in hand (or not at that moment, and then you have to drive. it makes computer screens really big too.

Well, last night was another eventful night down at the ol' Granite Curling Club for our home team. Before the test began, a dramatic roster change was made with the addition of a veteran skip named 'Angela'. Considerably more female than the teams last skip, they could now definately call themselves a real mixed team.
The evenings formidable opponent was a team of over-all clad ruffians that looked as if they quite possibly had fought their way out of the gutter in search of food. In fact, based on thier unsightly scars and ugly, ugly faces one could be sure they had done just that. Unphased by their own lack of uniforms, our team could only hope for a win by rivaling the gutter-rats hunger for victory. Despite taking an early lead over the rustic gutter-vagrants, the home team heros were ripped away from gorging at the buffet table of victory by giving up a devastating 4 point 4rth end.
The game continued to deteriorate further as the two teams clawed and gnawed at each other for the lead. Verbal exchanges and bloody knife fights highlighted the 6th and 7th end until both the Skip and Beck were able to overcome competitve rage by thrashing it out on any hapless brooms. At the end of the 8th end, the two teams had carved out an unsatisfying tie. And with the VORACIOUS appetites for winning that these two teams had, only a draw to the button duel by the skips would settle such a bout. In an opportunity to prove herself, and forever win the support of her team, Angela unfortunately threw the stone through the house, leaving room for the other skip to place his stone... anywhere at all. And after said skip did place his rock directly on the button, our team was thrown dejectedly into the proverbial gutters of loss. Content with another to share the pain with, the team set any hard-feelings and looked to the future, to the chance to gorge again at the elusive table of victory.

i'm not telling you!

so... I decided to make an appearance on here... as it seems a lot of discussions in the "real world" are derived from discussions on here and I'm feeling totally out of the loop!

Pete, that horizontal organization essay is brilliant! I feel much more vindicated now... although I've noticed a problem with the level of surfaces in my room constantly growing... sometimes inches in a few hours! How do I solve this problem? hmm... and on top of that, the use of lazy susans, although conveniently organized and accessible gives me some problems because I'm also spatially horizontally organized (in other words, I associate certain tasks with certain areas, so by rotating a lazy susan to get to something, I'd lose all motivation and incentive to complete the task) perhaps that's why my floor's growing, and I must create a trench to access key locations...

    oh well...

Pam, I realized the basket was still at your place yesterday, we have a note on our fridge. i'll come get it eventually! Please don't let your dogs eat it. thanks!
Beck and Keri, I am so glad you all enjoyed yourselves... that's what we were hoping for!
and last but not least, Paras, incredible site... wish I had the time to visit more often.

    cheers!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for Saturday night. I never realized how wonderful you all were. (Well some of you I've always known you were wonderful.) You really know how to make a couple feel loved and I think AD said it best when he said we would always know how lucky we are to have friends like you.

To those of you who missed it sorry you weren't there but maybe next time... And there will be a next time.

A special thanks to Pam for all you've done for us. First a 20 hour bus ride, then putting up with a hairdresser just for me, then the pictures, and now this. You are truely wonderful.

To Mary... You are just as amazing as PAm. Thanks so much.

To Meghan Thanks for the windchimes. They will we hung soon

To Scott and Lindsay.... The Candles are beautiful in the bedroom.

And to everyone who helped pay for the trip... You will never know how much that means to us. Not only did we never get a honeymoon, but it's a chance to spend time together before I go. Thank you again.
