Sometimes life will throw you a curve ball but more often then not I find that we always come out better for it. So while it may seem gloomy at the moment things will get better.

You know, as positive as I'm trying to be about this whole thing, getting laid-off really sucks.

It makes me feel so alone and useless. And I keep looking at the job postings thinking one of two things: a) am I really even qualified for that? and b) none of these things are actually what I want to do. As much as my job was making me depressed and miserable and forcing me to second-guess my career path, at least it was something, and it allowed me the time to think about the jobs I applied for, rather than the present frantic swathe of applications I'm sending out now.

I just moved. My folks just moved. I don't have a safety catch any more.
Being an adult really sucks sometimes.

(apologies for the mopey post, I'll try to avoid future off-loading of my problems, but I figured at least here, it's among friends)

Jesse - I wish you luck. I have ZERO clue whether or not there are tech wizards who can work some sort of magic and rescue your photos. I HOPE there are, because it would be awful if you can't get any of your photos back. There's got to be a way...

Albert - SO MANY people achieved so much awesomeness by the tender age of, well, our age... So what? Live your life, not theirs. You're not Mozart, you're you. Find your own way to be awesome like you think they were...

Also, I DON'T WANT TO UNPACK MY STUPID BOXES... bloody apartment living. I need more bookshelves, and much less stuff. :(

Secondly, my technologically superior friends, my phone died (apparently the motherboard is pooched/fried/gonzo/kapput/mia/fubar).All I know is it won't charge, and the cell phone repair place said it is the motherboard. Somehow, I neglected to copy my photos from my camera to another device. Is it possible to salvage data from said device at this point? I'm willing to spend some money, as it is my photos from India that I'd really like to have.
